How can we help?

Find answers to common questions about using Pixelor

Getting Started

Pixelor is a free online tool for converting images and videos between different formats. We support 50+ formats including PNG, JPG, WebP, MP4, WebM, and many more. Most conversions happen directly in your browser for maximum speed and privacy.

No! You can use Pixelor without creating an account. Our basic conversion tools are completely free and don't require registration. Creating an account gives you access to additional features like conversion history and higher file size limits.

Yes! Core image and video conversion features are free with no watermarks. We offer a credit-based system for heavy users who need to convert many files or very large files. But for most users, the free tier is more than enough.

Pixelor works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience. Some features may not work on older browsers.

Image Conversion

We support a wide range of image formats including: PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, AVIF, TGA, PSD, AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, and RAW formats (CR2, NEF, ARW, DNG). You can convert between any of these formats.

Free users can upload images up to 25MB each. Registered users with credits can upload images up to 50MB. For most use cases, these limits are more than sufficient.

Simply drag and drop multiple files onto the converter or click to select multiple files. Free users can convert up to 5 images at once, while users with credits can batch convert up to 100 images.

We use high-quality conversion algorithms to preserve as much quality as possible. For formats like WebP and AVIF, you can adjust the quality slider to find the perfect balance between file size and quality.

PNG supports transparency and is lossless (no quality loss), making it ideal for graphics, logos, and images with text. JPG uses lossy compression resulting in smaller files, making it better for photographs. WebP offers the best of both worlds with smaller file sizes.

Video Conversion

We support popular video formats including MP4, WebM, AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, and more. MP4 and WebM are recommended for web use as they have the best browser support.

Free users can upload videos up to 100MB. Users with credits can upload videos up to 2GB. Larger videos require more processing time and credits.

Conversion time depends on the video length, resolution, and your internet speed. A 1-minute HD video typically takes 30-60 seconds. Longer videos may take several minutes.

Yes! We offer separate tools for video resizing and compression. You can change the resolution, trim the length, or reduce file size while maintaining quality.

Privacy & Security

For most image conversions, files are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device. For video conversions and some complex formats, files may be temporarily uploaded but are automatically deleted within 1 hour of processing.

Yes! All data transfers use SSL/TLS encryption. We don't sell, share, or analyze your files. Your privacy is our priority. Read our full Privacy Policy for more details.

No, never! All conversions are watermark-free, even on the free tier. We believe in providing genuine value without annoying restrictions.

Account & Billing

Credits are used for conversions that exceed free tier limits. Different file types and sizes consume different amounts of credits. Simple image conversions use 1 credit, while complex formats use 2 credits. Video credits are based on file size.

No! Credits never expire. Once purchased, they're yours to use whenever you need them.

We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used any credits from that purchase. Contact our support team for assistance.

You can delete your account from the Account Settings page. This will permanently delete all your data including conversion history. Unused credits cannot be refunded upon account deletion.

Troubleshooting

First, check that your file isn't corrupted and is in a supported format. Try refreshing the page and attempting the conversion again. If the issue persists, try a different browser or clear your browser cache. For large files, ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Large files and video conversions can take several minutes. Don't close the browser tab during conversion. If it's been more than 10 minutes for a small file, try refreshing and starting over.

Some quality loss may occur when converting between formats, especially lossy formats like JPG. For best results, use lossless formats like PNG or adjust the quality slider. Color profile differences between formats can also cause visual changes.

Check that your browser isn't blocking downloads. Try right-clicking the download button and selecting "Save link as...". If using Safari, ensure "Block pop-ups" is disabled in preferences.
